Peyton Houston | QB | Evangel Christian | LSU Commit

Fourteen state championships hang in the halls of Evangel Christian in Shreveport, Louisiana — thirteen of them earned in an 18-year stretch between 1993 and 2010. Peyton Houston wants to add to that legacy.

The Eagles' starting quarterback put together a standout junior campaign, throwing for 3,836 yards and 42 touchdowns while rushing for 942 yards and 12 more scores on the way to a 9-3 record and a state quarterfinal appearance. His arm talent traces back to his baseball roots — Houston grew up playing shortstop, and the ability to throw from multiple arm angles has translated directly to his game under center.

His path through the recruiting process has had a familiar guide. Houston grew up watching Detroit Lions linebacker and former LSU standout Devin White navigate his own recruitment, tagging along on college visits and studying how White built his career. That blueprint pointed Houston in one direction: Baton Rouge. He is committed to the LSU Tigers.
