Ohio State Legend Archie Griffin, Only Two-Time Heisman Winner, Talks About His High School Days
September 4, 2023
Two-time Heisman winner Archie Griffin discusses his Eastmoor High School days at Hall of Fame induction.
Archie Griffin rushed for 1,695 yards as a junior at Ohio State, winning his first Heisman in 1974. He added 1,450 yards as a senior and won again—the only player in college football history to claim the trophy twice.
But Griffin's foundation was laid at Eastmoor High School in Columbus. At his National High School Football Hall of Fame induction, he was honored alongside his childhood hero Jim Brown. Griffin consistently credits his teammates and coaches, calling the Heisman a team award.
