Tyrone Wheatley lost his father at age two. Other family hardships followed. Football became his outlet—and eventually his calling.
At Robichaud High School, Wheatley won state titles in football and track. He went on to star at Michigan before an NFL career. Now as head coach at Wayne State, he teaches the same principles that got him through adversity: discipline, process, and impact. His journey proves that greatness often emerges from struggle.
