Hall of Fame coach Bill Cowher led the Pittsburgh Steelers to their fifth Super Bowl title as one of just three men to coach the franchise since 1969.
Bill Cowher is one of just three men to serve as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 1969, joining Chuck Noll and Mike Tomlin in that exclusive group. The Pittsburgh native led the franchise to its fifth Super Bowl championship, defeating the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.
Cowher's 15-year tenure with the Steelers produced a 149-90-1 regular season record and eight playoff appearances. His intense sideline demeanor and defensive expertise became synonymous with Steelers football. Cowher was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
