Warren Sapp - Legend of the Game

Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp redefined the defensive tackle position while leading Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl championship.

Warren Sapp possessed a rare combination of size, strength, and speed at 6-foot-2 and 300 pounds that made him the prototype for modern defensive tackles. NFL scouts continue searching for the next player with his exceptional blend of physical tools and disruptive ability.

Sapp credits much of his success to coach Tony Dungy, who became the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach early in Sapp's career. Together they achieved their goal of winning a championship. With a Super Bowl title, the 1999 Defensive Player of the Year award, and seven Pro Bowl appearances, Sapp earned induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He wanted to be remembered as a consistent player who gave maximum effort every week.
