R.J. Cope: 6'8" Two-Way Baseball Star & Vanderbilt Commit
March 2, 2026
R.J. Cope is a 6-foot-8 two-way baseball prospect at Georgia Premier Academy, committed to Vanderbilt with MLB Draft potential.
At 6-foot-8, R.J. Cope casts a long shadow on the mound. Hitters see a towering frame, a deep pitch mix featuring a nasty 2-seam fastball and splitter, and very little room for error in the strike zone.
Cope is a true two-way player, providing power at first base when he's not pitching. Based at Georgia Premier Academy in Statesboro, he left home in Lawrenceville six years ago to focus entirely on baseball. The sacrifice is paying off: he's committed to Vanderbilt and drawing significant MLB Draft interest.
