Paul VI in Virginia has seen many of its basketball players go on to success at the college and professional levels. PVI's star senior this season is Maryland commit DeShawn Harris-Smith, a versatile 6'5" wing.
Paul VI has produced college and professional basketball players for years. DeShawn Harris-Smith is next in line. The 6-foot-5 wing helped the Panthers win a state title and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship, playing whatever role the team needed on a given night.
Harris-Smith's versatility—he can guard multiple positions and create offense from anywhere—made him attractive to high-major programs. He signed with Maryland, staying in the DMV for his college career.
