Growing up in Tampa, Kaden Henderson has spent years watching NFL players take the field at Raymond James Stadium. The way he's trending, the view from the other side may not be far off.

Henderson is one of the highest-rated linebackers in the 2027 recruiting class and a two-year team captain at Jesuit High School, where head coach Matt Thompson noticed something different about him before they ever met in person. Reviewing eighth-grade enrollment photos, Thompson saw a look of intensity that reminded him of Lawrence Taylor. That comparison has only grown more fitting over time.

A versatile defender who can play the Mike linebacker position or rush off the edge, Henderson's explosiveness is what separates him. Thompson describes him as a disruptive, potentially unblockable edge presence—drawing comparisons to Micah Parsons—while noting that Henderson's athleticism allows him to recover from mistakes that would cost other players. Last season, he earned a spot in the Under Armour All-American Game, one of the most prestigious showcases in high school football.

Off the field, Henderson carries himself with a maturity that earned him the captaincy as a sophomore—a title his coach says was never sought, just earned. Thompson tests his players' composure deliberately, and Henderson, he notes, simply does the work without complaint.

Henderson is committed to Texas A&M, where he'll play for head coach Mike Elko in the SEC. He speaks highly of the program's 2027 class and the relationships he's built with the coaching staff.
