Steve Atwater established himself as one of the hardest-hitting safeties in NFL history during his career with the Denver Broncos. Selected in the first round of the 1989 draft, he helped Denver win back-to-back Super Bowl championships in 1997 and 1998.
Atwater began his football journey as a quarterback at Lutheran North High School in St. Louis before becoming a dominant safety at Arkansas. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020, an honor he credits to his coaches and teammates. Atwater continues to work in the Broncos organization today.
