Tanner McKee's path to Stanford included both remarkable talent and incredible perseverance. The quarterback from Corona Centennial High School in California was diagnosed with melanoma during his sophomore season, requiring surgery that raised concerns about his throwing motion.

McKee defied those concerns, returning to become one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2018 class. After completing high school, he embarked on a two-year mission trip before enrolling at Stanford.
