Track Star Rodrick Pleasant is a Versatile Weapon for Junipero Serra Football

Rodrick Pleasant of Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California, is one of the most explosive two-sport athletes in the country. In track, he set a California state record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.14 seconds and recorded the nation's second-fastest time in the 200 meters at 20.40. USA Today named him the national boys track and field athlete of the year.

On the football field, Pleasant's elite speed makes him a lockdown defensive back. He helped Serra capture the CIF Division III state championship and has attracted offers from programs including Boston College, Cal, USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Penn State as he pursues both sports at the college level.
