Recruiting Trail: Graham Mertz, Blue Valley North Quarterback

Graham Mertz has four state championship rings. He won two as a backup at Bishop Miege, then transferred to Blue Valley North in Kansas City and led that program to two more. The transformation of Blue Valley North from struggling to title contender happened under his leadership.

At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, Mertz has the frame and arm strength to make every throw. He committed to Wisconsin, where his composure and accuracy fit what the Badgers want from a quarterback.
