Recruiting Trail: Brian Maurer, West Port Quarterback

Brian Maurer emerged as one of Florida's top quarterback prospects at West Port High School in Ocala. The 2019 recruit combines arm strength with athleticism, allowing him to extend plays when protection breaks down.

Maurer committed to Tennessee, where his ability to make throws on the move fits the Volunteers' offensive system. He looked to compete for playing time immediately upon arrival in Knoxville.
