Phil Jurkovec - Pine-Richland Quarterback - Highlights/Interview

Western Pennsylvania has produced Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and Joe Namath. Phil Jurkovec carried on that quarterback tradition at Pine-Richland High School near Pittsburgh.

As a sophomore, Jurkovec threw for 2,000 yards and rushed for 1,000 in the same season, matching a rare regional benchmark. His dual-threat ability and leadership earned a commitment from Notre Dame, where he would compete for playing time immediately.
