Landry Lyddy proved that recruiting rankings don't tell the whole story during his senior season at Calvary Baptist Academy. The quarterback threw for 4,247 yards and 53 touchdowns while leading his team to an 11-2 record and a spot in the Louisiana state semifinals.
His exceptional performance earned him the Gatorade Player of the Year award for Louisiana. Though verbally committed to Louisiana Tech, Lyddy fielded offers from SMU and Boise State before signing day. Coaches praised his football IQ, accuracy, and mental approach to the game.
