Colby Powers from Klein Collins High in Texas is a Two-Sport Commit to the Arizona Wildcats
Colby Powers from Klein Collins High School will play both football and baseball at Arizona after a standout two-sport career in Texas.
Colby Powers threw for over 2,200 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 682 rushing yards and 14 more scores at Klein Collins High School in Houston. Those dual-threat numbers came at quarterback, but he'll move to tight end at Arizona.
Powers also signed with the Wildcats for baseball, where he projects as a left-handed pitcher and power-hitting first baseman. The two-sport commitment is rare at the FBS level, requiring both programs to coordinate schedules and workloads. For Powers, the opportunity to compete in both sports outweighed specializing in one.
