Wesley Yates Has Helped Beaumont United Become a Texas Power in a Short Time

Hurricane Harvey forced two Beaumont high schools to merge, creating Beaumont United. Wesley Yates helped turn the new program into a dynasty, leading the Timberwolves to back-to-back Texas 5A state championships. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound shooting guard averages 20 points and four rebounds while working to become a more vocal leader and improved defender.

Texas, LSU, Gonzaga, and Arkansas have all recruited Yates, recognizing his scoring ability and championship pedigree.
