UT-San Antonio Honors Wounded Veteran Kevin Wear

Army Specialist Kevin Wear's service in Afghanistan resulted in a traumatic brain injury that left him battling amnesia and spending a week in a coma. Despite lingering effects including migraines, poor eyesight, and constant pain, Wear has worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and five children.

The Military Warriors Support Foundation, along with Chevrolet and UT-San Antonio, honored the Wear family during Military Appreciation Day at a Roadrunners football game. Kevin was presented with a ceremonial key to a mortgage-free home amid a standing ovation, providing his family the stability and security they deserve after his sacrifice.
