All-American Offensive Lineman & Ohio State Commit Paris Johnson Interviews With Sports Stars of Tomorrow

January 3, 2020
Paris Johnson Jr., the nation's top offensive lineman, discusses his commitment to Ohio State and his journey from the Cincinnati area.

Paris Johnson Jr. earned recognition as the top-rated offensive lineman in the 2020 recruiting class. After starring at Saint Xavier, the 6-foot-7, 290-pound tackle transferred to Princeton High School for his senior year to graduate early. He helped Princeton reach the playoffs for the first time in 12 seasons.

Johnson committed to Ohio State early in his recruitment and remained dedicated to the Buckeyes despite exploring other options after Urban Meyer's departure. Under new head coach Ryan Day, Johnson reaffirmed his commitment, drawn by the program's ability to develop offensive linemen and the sense of belonging he felt in Columbus. His decision to stay in-state reflected both his football ambitions and his connection to the community.
