Mitch Parsons: Rising Football and Basketball Double Threat at Chaparral High
July 21, 2018
Mitch Parsons developed into a recruiting target at tight end while also hitting a game-winning buzzer-beater for Chaparral's basketball team.
Mitch Parsons played safety before moving to tight end at Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado. That defensive background showed up in his receiving style: the 6-foot-4 senior attacked the ball in the air rather than waiting for it to arrive.
His athleticism extended beyond football. On the basketball court, Parsons delivered a game-winning buzzer-beater in the playoffs. The two-sport star set his sights on championships in both before graduation, using his combination of size, ball skills, and competitive drive to attract college recruiters.
