Michael Porter, Jr - Nathan Hale Forward - Highlights/Interview
July 21, 2018
Michael Porter Jr. moved to Seattle to play for former NBA star Brandon Roy at Nathan Hale.
Basketball runs in the Porter family. Both of Michael Porter Jr.'s parents played college ball, and his mother had a professional career. Now the third oldest of eight children, Michael Jr. is following that path.
His father accepted an assistant coaching position with Washington's men's team, prompting a move from Missouri to Seattle. Michael Jr. will spend his senior year at Nathan Hale High School under coach Brandon Roy, the former NBA All-Star. Being mentored by a player of Roy's caliber has the Washington commit eager for the season ahead.
