Malik Zaire: Rising High School Football Star and Elite 11 Standout from Ohio
July 21, 2018
Malik Zaire earned Elite 11 honors and helped Archbishop Alter reach the Ohio state championship game three times in four years.
Malik Zaire stood 6-feet tall and 190 pounds, smaller than most elite quarterback prospects. But his performance at Archbishop Alter High School in Ohio proved size was not the determining factor. He led the Knights to their third state championship appearance since 2008.
Zaire's skills earned him a spot in the Elite 11, the prestigious competition featuring the nation's top high school quarterbacks. His commitment to Notre Dame coincided with the program's move to the ACC, adding intrigue to what his college career might hold.
