Let's Go Places on the Recruiting Trail: Solomon Uyaelunmo
July 21, 2018
Solomon Uyaelunmo came to the United States from Nigeria with his brother. Now they are both outstanding basketball players. Solomon is committed to Towson.
Calvary Christian basketball star Solomon Food Yellow Bow's journey from Nigeria to South Florida is a testament to determination and resilience. Seeking better opportunities in basketball and education, Solomon and his brother Victor found a new family when Wendy Oliver Pyatt and her husband welcomed them into their home. Solomon is now making waves in his senior season at Calvary Christian High School, impressing coaches and trainers with his coordination and athleticism. Standing at an impressive 6'7" and built like a football player, Solomon is committed to playing for the Towson Tigers next season. However, his long-term goal extends beyond the court. Solomon aspires to make a difference in Nigeria, a country with limited opportunities, by providing opportunities for others in his homeland, whether it's through sending supplies or helping aspiring athletes train. His journey showcases the power of sports in transforming lives and making a positive impact.
