Let's Go Places on the Recruiting Trail: Hunter Johnson, Brownsburg QB
July 21, 2018
Hunter Johnson won Indiana's Mr. Football award and enrolled early at Clemson to compete for the starting job.
Hunter Johnson threw for 6,600 yards and 69 touchdowns at Brownsburg High School, leading the program to its first conference championship in years. His senior season earned him Indiana's Mr. Football award and a spot in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Johnson enrolled early at Clemson, arriving for spring practice with a chance to compete for the starting job. The Tigers needed a quarterback after their previous starter left for the NFL, and Johnson's combination of passing accuracy and athleticism positioned him to step into the role immediately.
