Jaylon Smith: Bishop Luers' Star Athlete Leading to Four Consecutive Indiana

July 21, 2018
Jaylon Smith rushed for over 1,200 yards and scored three touchdowns in the state championship as Bishop Luers won its fourth consecutive Indiana 2A title.

Jaylon Smith capped his career at Bishop Luers with a fourth consecutive Indiana 2A state championship. In his final game, he rushed for three touchdowns while surpassing 1,200 yards for the season.

Smith played both running back and linebacker, earning a spot on the Toyota Top Five list of the nation's best linebackers. His two-way dominance throughout high school secured a commitment to Notre Dame, where he would focus on defense. Four state championship rings in four years left a legacy few high school athletes can match.
