Growing up as the son of heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield created expectations, but Evan Holyfield had to find his own love for boxing. That passion developed during his teenage years, transforming initial hesitation into genuine dedication to the sport.

Father and son train together at the Police Athletic League in Atlanta, a program that engages inner-city youth in positive activities. Evander's mentorship has helped Evan overcome early shyness and build confidence. Now competing at the amateur level, Evan Holyfield is working toward his own championship aspirations.
