Derrick Brooks spent all 14 of his NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, transforming the franchise into a championship contender. The linebacker earned 11 Pro Bowl selections and was named the league's defensive player of the year in 2002, the same season Tampa Bay captured the Super Bowl title.

Brooks credited his teammates for enabling his individual success, emphasizing the collaborative nature of defensive football. His 2014 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame recognized one of the most complete linebackers in NFL history.
