January 7, 2019
D.J. Jeffries flipped his commitment from Kentucky to Memphis to reunite with coach Penny Hardaway.

D.J. Jeffries had committed to Kentucky. Then Penny Hardaway got the Memphis job and brought his former AAU assistant with him. That connection changed everything.

The 6-foot-7 forward from Olive Branch High School in Mississippi ranks among the top 50 prospects nationally. His versatility lets him play multiple positions, and his decision to flip to Memphis means he'll be only an hour from home.
