November 15, 2019
Don Chaney Jr., who received scholarship offers before high school, discusses his record-breaking career at Belen Jesuit and commitment to Miami.

Don Chaney Jr. made an immediate impact at Belen Jesuit in South Florida, playing varsity football as an eighth grader and receiving scholarship offers before officially beginning high school. The running back set multiple school records for rushing yards and touchdowns during his five-year varsity career.

Chaney Jr.'s passion for football was sparked by watching his father's highlight tapes as a child. Though he initially wanted to play wide receiver, his speed and strength made him a natural fit at running back. Beyond his individual achievements, Chaney Jr. emerged as a leader and role model for younger players. He also excelled in track and field while committing to the Miami Hurricanes.
