Valor Christian Wins Again

Valor Christian opened in 2007. By 2012, the Eagles had won four straight Colorado state championships. The program accelerated from startup to dynasty in just six years.

Luke Del Rio, son of NFL coach Jack Del Rio, ran the offense before heading to Oklahoma State. Christian McCaffrey, whose father Ed McCaffrey starred for the Broncos, earned Gatorade State Player of the Year honors with one season remaining. Both came from NFL bloodlines; both built their own legacies at Valor Christian first.
