In this week's Sports Star Spotlight, we're shining a light on some impressive football defensive players. Chase Young, the number two pick in the 2020 draft, had an outstanding rookie season for the Washington Football Team. With a remarkable seven and a half sacks, Young helped lead his team to the playoffs, earned the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, and secured a Pro Bowl selection. Starting his journey at DeMatha Catholic High School, Young was known for his leadership qualities and became an all-American. His exceptional talent and unwavering work ethic continue to make him a standout player on and off the field. However, Young isn't the only high school athlete making waves in football defense. The Bosa brothers, Joey and Nick, have also carved out impressive careers in the NFL. Joey, a three-time Pro Bowler playing for the Chargers, and Nick, the 2019 Defensive Rookie of the Year, both made a name for themselves at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. These formidable siblings have proven themselves as exceptional players in their own right, earning accolades and carving out their own paths in the NFL.
