The 2003 NBA Draft is widely regarded as one of the greatest in league history. LeBron James was selected first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers directly out of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, beginning a career that would establish him among basketball's all-time greats.
Dwyane Wade went fifth overall to the Miami Heat after a standout career at Marquette, where he led the Golden Eagles to the Final Four. The draft class also included Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, and other future All-Stars who would shape the NBA for the next two decades.
