ProActiv Question of the Day: 1983 Draft

September 21, 2018
Richard Dent was not selected in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft despite becoming a Hall of Famer.

The 1983 NFL Draft is considered one of the greatest ever, producing six Hall of Famers including John Elway, Dan Marino, and Jim Kelly in the first round. Richard Dent, however, fell to the eighth round.

Dent proved the scouts wrong. The defensive end became a four-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl XX MVP with the Chicago Bears. His career demonstrated that draft position doesn't determine greatness.
