Late-Round NFL Draft Prospects: Domani Jackson, Harold Perkins and Marvin Jones Jr.

April 10, 2026
Explore the high school backgrounds and college journeys of NFL Draft sleepers Domani Jackson, Harold Perkins, and Marvin Jones Jr. as they turn pro.

Elite track speed and versatile athleticism often separate the top tier of high school recruits from the rest of the pack. For a trio of former highly touted prospects, those foundational traits are now the key to securing a spot on an NFL roster as late-round draft selections.

Before patrolling the secondary for Alabama, defensive back Domani Jackson established himself as a track and field phenomenon at Mater Dei High School in California. During his junior season, he clocked a blistering 10.25 in the 100-meter dash, tying a 36-year-old state record and showcasing speed that would have qualified him eighth in the NCAA at the time. That elite burst translated seamlessly to the gridiron, allowing him to consistently shut down opposing wide receivers. Jackson recently validated that explosiveness by running a 4.41 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

In Texas, Harold Perkins initially made his name as a dynamic two-way player and one of the state's premier running backs before transitioning to a full-time defensive role. The LSU linebacker experienced a meteoric rise early in his college career, utilizing his unique physical abilities to disrupt offenses. Although injuries derailed much of his junior campaign, Perkins bounced back with a productive 2025 season for the Tigers to reestablish his professional potential.

Pedigree and physical transformation define the journey of edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr. The son of 1993 first-round pick Marvin Jones Sr., the younger Jones began his high school career at American Heritage as a receiver before shifting to defensive end. After stints at Georgia and Florida State, he concluded his collegiate career anchoring the defensive line for the Oklahoma Sooners, relying on a transformed physique and relentless work ethic to prepare for the professional ranks.
