Landry Gilpin - Veterans Memorial Quarterback - Highlights
January 18, 2019
Landry Gilpin won Mr. Texas Football after throwing for 4,500 yards and rushing for 2,100 more in his senior season at Veterans Memorial.
The numbers look like a video game stat line: 4,500 passing yards, 50 touchdown passes, 2,100 rushing yards, 32 rushing touchdowns. Landry Gilpin posted all of that in a single season at Veterans Memorial High School in Mission, Texas.
That production earned Gilpin the Texas 5A Offensive Player of the Year award and the Mr. Texas Football title. He led the Spartans to the state quarterfinals, putting together one of the most prolific seasons in Texas high school football history.
