Kingston Flemings & Chris Cenac: Houston Cougars Prospects Headed to the NBA Draft

Out of San Antonio's Brethren High School, Kingston Flemings arrived at Houston as a five-star prospect with a reputation as a pass-first point guard — and he lived up to it. In his lone season with the Cougars, the floor general demonstrated the kind of court vision and decision-making that has scouts projecting him as a likely first-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Fleming's game is built around creating advantages for others. "The best thing I do is drive and kick," he said. "I see the court really well. A lot of people when I'm driving, they're all collapsing, so I find my shooters and just fill in the flow of the game — knowing that scoring is not everything." His college coaches echoed that assessment, calling him dynamic defensively, coachable, and a player who is simply "about winning."

Flemings credits the foundation of his game to a long-standing relationship with his high school coach and his father, who began working with him as early as first grade. That continuity — years of shared training and trust — shaped both his skill set and his confidence heading into the professional ranks.

Also drawing first-round attention from the Houston roster is Chris Cenac, a 6-foot-11 big man who averaged 9.5 points and roughly 8 rebounds per game for the Cougars. A New Orleans native, Cenac spent his senior prep season at Link Academy in Missouri — one of the country's premier basketball programs — before making his mark at the college level. He describes himself as an inside-out player capable of posting up, attacking off the dribble, and stepping out to shoot the three, a combination of skills that separates him from many big men in his class. Scouts consider Ciac a strong first-round prospect with a realistic shot at sneaking into the lottery.
