Juwan Durham has had a run of bad luck at the end of his high school career. He tore his ACL twice, costing him a playoff run as a junior and his entire senior season. But he's still a major prospect and will be at UConn next season.
Meet Juwan Durham, a resilient high school basketball player from Tampa Prep. Standing tall at six feet ten inches, Juwan had an exceptional junior season that was cut short by a torn ACL, shattering his team's hopes of a state championship. Undeterred by setbacks, Juwan remained focused and rehabilitated his injury, only to face another blow when he re-injured his ACL in October. However, his positive attitude and determination shine through as he sees this as a small obstacle to overcome.
Despite his injuries, colleges have recognized Juwan's talent and he recently signed with the Connecticut Huskies. His teachers and staff at Tampa Prep admire his humility and dedication, as he seamlessly blends in with his peers despite his towering height.
