James Wiseman - Memphis East Forward - Highlights/Interview
January 25, 2019
James Wiseman, the nation's top-ranked prospect, stayed home to play for Memphis East and committed to the Memphis Tigers.
James Wiseman could have played anywhere. The 7-footer chose to stay in Memphis, building Memphis East High School into a championship program while preparing to join Penny Hardaway at the University of Memphis.
What makes Wiseman special isn't just his size. He handles the ball, passes with vision, and shoots with touch that most players his height never develop. ESPN and the 247Sports composite both ranked him as the nation's top prospect. Hardaway coached him at Memphis East and on the AAU circuit, so the transition to college will feel more like a continuation than a fresh start.
